All right, I know I am not a good blogger. Let me give a quick update.

1. Beth and I now live in Escondido CA. I loved my job at Panama City and made some great friends there, but I can’t say that I miss the town. I am stationed at Camp Pendleton CA, where I serve as the flight line chaplain for Marine Aircraft Group 39.

2.We bought a house in Escondido, which is about halfway between San Diego and Camp Pendleton.

3. We had a wonderful cross country trip with 2 cars, 4 cats, and 1 dog. There will be pictures forthcoming!

4. Christmas was good – we still have not settled on a church, but attended a Christmas Eve service and then on Christmas day went on a cruise around San Diego Harbor.

5. I am training to run the Carlsbad Marathon on 20 January, and I am also planning to run the San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon as well as 2 half marathons this year.

6. I read several good books recently and have been formulating some theological thoughts that I am hoping to have time to write about. Stay tuned, but believe me as you can tell there is not much need to check back here on a daily basis.

Our Animals June 10, 2006

My wife loves animals, and I have to admit that I do somewhat as well. So I thought today that I would post a few pictures of our 4 cats and dog that we currently have.

This is our Beagle, Daschound mix, Noodle, with probably the world’s biggest bone. It only took him about 2 weeks to totally consume that bone!

This is our gray tabby cat, that we call Gray Cat officially and Crabby Tabby unofficially. She is probably the most ornery cat you will ever meet, but we like her.

This is Black Gato. It is not a very good picture of him because as usual, he was squirmy and trying to get his face right next to mine. If you saw him, you would think he was a stray who was not taken care of, but he lives the life of a king and has been with us longer than any other animal.
