We are from Michigan and rivaled with the Buckeye's vs. Wolverines many a time. He was a good man, a HUGE loss to our planet. The funeral was beautiful and he would have been proud, your comments were so kind, Shawn really would have like that. We pray for Tricia, Nathan, Noah and Austin who must deal w/ the hardest part, going on without him. God Speed. Shawn was one of my husband’s best friends. Try a Book titled "Moral Courage" by Kidder. Mr. Kidder has a series of books out which deal with character and moral courage. When I was much younger and in college the term Moral Judgement was used. There was a developmental stage on Moral Judgement and people. Most people do not reach the highest level of moral judgement, which is one would rather suffer than to do something they felt was wrong.
